Enugu—MEN of Enugu Police Command have arrested three persons in Enugu, who allegedly stabbed an Anglican priest after beating him, under the cover of playing masquerade. The reason for the attack was yet to be ascertained but the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident said the three persons and the masquerade regalia are currently in police custody for interrogation. According to the PPRO, “operatives of Igboeze North Division of Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police have nabbed three suspects (names withheld), all of Igogoro, Enugu Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State for allegedly conspiring to beat and stab one Reverend Christian Ajibo, an Anglican priest, last Thursday with a dagger on the right side of his chest.” source: Vanguard

M AIDUGURI —Borno State police command said yesterday two suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers attacked the Sabon Gari village market in Damboa local government area, killing five persons, including the suspects, and injuring five others. The suspects, according to the police, detonated the Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs strapped to their backs in the market square on Tuesday at 11am. Sabon Gari is in Sambisa Forest on Maiduguri-Biu road; and is150 kilometres south of Maiduguri, the state capital. The state Police commissioner, Mr. Aderemi Opadokun, who disclosed this yesterday in Maiduguri, said three traders died in the Sabon Gari twin blasts. “The insurgents are continuing attacking soft targets of markets, motor parks and hospitals in the Sambisa Forests and its environs. “Yes, on Tuesday morning at about  11am; twin explosions occurred at the Sabon Gari market in Damboa council area of Borno State after two suspected suicide bombers sneaked into the village mark

Whenever Scott Disick hops off his party train, he won't be returning to his family home in Calabasas ... because Kourtney Kardashian gave his stuff the ole heave-ho.  According to our sources, Kourtney organized the removal of the Lord's belongings -- mostly his clothing -- and had it all sent to the house Scott purchased recently in Beverly Hills. It's unclear if she even told Scott she was doing it. As TMZ first reported, Disick bought the home -- a five-bedroom, six-bath house -- with the intention of flipping it, but instead it seems like he'll be hanging his hat there for the time being.  Disick is still partying in Florida and scheduled to make a club appearance Friday night in Las Vegas. Somehow, the driver angrily sped off with the Policeman still in the car and mistakenly hit an electric pole, immediately it dragged them up to the ground. TMZ has obtained the full video of  Bruce Jenner 's fatal accident on PCH ... and it shows just how brutal and violent it was. The video is shot from an MTA Bus that had 6 cameras mounted on it -- which is standard for new MTA buses in L.A. The February accident happened in front of the bus ... which was traveling in the opposite direction of Jenner. You'll recall ... Jenner was driving northbound when he plowed into a white Lexus, and then a blue Prius. The Lexus was shoved into oncoming traffic, and a Hummer crashed into it head-on ... killing Kim Howe. The driver of the Prius, as well as Howe's family have  filed lawsuits against Jenner.  As we've reported ... the major crimes division of the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept is  still investigating  the matter.

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt,Thursday, dissolved the 22 local government councils in the state. Justice Lambo Akonbi of the Federal High Court 1, in his ruling said the decision of the administration of former governor Chibuike Amaechi to go ahead with the conduct of the council election on May 23 inspite of a court order asking all parties to maintain status quo is a flagrant abuse of court process and disregard for rule of law.  Meantime, there was an explosion outside the court premises. The police on Thursday arraigned a 29-year-old businessman, Manya Obiora in a Kado Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for assaulting two police officers. Obiora, who is a business man and repairs cell phones, resides at Zone 7, Lugbe, Abuja. The Prosecutor, Insp. Simon Ibrahim, told the court that the matter was reported by two police officers: Cpl. Kelechi Odurobi and Cpl. Henry Ossia, attached to Utako Police Station, Abuja, on June 11. He said that on same date, the officers went to Kanapy market, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, to invite one Chidi for allegedly receiving stolen property.
