I The Nigerian Football Federation has sacked Stephen Keshi as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The termination of his appointment is contained in a statement released by NFF Executive Committee today Saturday July 4th. The statement in part reads; "Having thoroughly reviewed the reports/findings of the NFF Disciplinary Committee and NFF Technical and Development Committee, as well as having reviewed the actions and inactions of Mr. Stephen Keshi, in the performance of his duties as Super Eagles’ Head Coach. Keshi was found to lack the required commitment to achieve the Federation’s objectives as set out in the Coach’s employment contract.  To this end and pursuant to the provisions of Clause 4.3 of the Employment Contract between Mr. Stephen Keshi and the NFF (The Contract) and the various clauses therein, the Nigeria Football Federation has decided to exercise its option to summarily terminate the employment contract of Mr. Stephen Keshi with the Federation with im

Chief of Army Staff, Kenneth Minimah The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Kenneth Minimah, on Saturday said the Nigerian Army would tame the Boko Haram terrorists and restore peace to the North East region of the country. The Army Chief made the commitment at the passing out parade of Direct Short Service Commission Course 22/2015, held at the Nigeria Army School of Infantry, Jaji, Kaduna State. He said that the insurgents “have been seriously degraded”, and pledged that the army would not relent until it ensures peace and stability in the region. The incident occurred in Avon, where the town was having its annual Salute to the USA fireworks show. A shell appeared to have exploded in its tube instead of properly firing into the sky, according to a news release issued by the town manager. “The misfired shell caused the rack of 5” shells to tip in two directions causing two to three shells to cross into the crowd,” the statement said. Nine people experienced minor abrasion burns from the accident, the town said. They were treated by medical staff at the scene and released. Baby At Sea after a kilometer away Baby with Mother after the Rescue Moment the Baby was rescued at Sea A baby girl was reportedly rescued by the Turkish coast guard after she drifted out to sea. The 10-month-old was in an inflatable crib when she floated about half a mile, the  BBC reported . The girl's parents didn't realize she was gone until other beachgoers told them, the BBC reported, attributing the details to a state-run news agency.  The incident happened off the coast of Ayvacik, which is on the western tip of  Turkey . Rita Fashek, the former wife of musician Majek Fashek, who is currently battling with drug and alcohol addiction says she divorced him three months ago and has remarried after waiting for years for him to come out of his state.
