So, instead of selfies ... she handed out condoms and flyers for community events addressing the prevention of HIV. Suicide bomber kills 26 civil servants in Kaduna

A teenage suicide bomber yesterday stormed Sabongari Local Government secretariat in Zaria, Kaduna State venue of verification  of workers’ status, killing 26 civil servants. The state government had ordered the exercise to weed out ghost workers. The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Ahmadu Bello Teaching Hospital, Shika, Prof. Lawal Khalid, confirmed the death toll. Governor Nasir el-Rufai has visited the scene, condemning the terror attack while banning street begging and hawking with immediate effect, according to a statement by his Special Assessment on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan. “All beggars and hawkers are to stay off the streets until further notice. Any beggar or hawker found on the streets will be arrested, until these measures are relaxed. “In addition, government reiterates that the ban on motorcycle taxis (achaba) remains in force, and the law will be strictly enforced in this regard. Man, 30, docked for allegedly sucking child’s genitals in Lagos

May God help us. Some stories i hear do scare me. Here's the story i came across A 30- year-old unemployed man, Emeji Christopher, was on Wednesday charged before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly sucking the genitals of a child. Emeji, whose address is unknown, is facing a charge of indecent treatment of a child. He pleaded not guilty to the charge. But the prosecutor, Insp. Rita Momoh, said that the accused committed the offence sometime in November 2014 at Jaja Hall toilet of the University of Lagos, Akoka. She said the accused tricked the nine-year-old into one of the toilets in the hall where he sucked his genitals. “The police have been on the lookout for the accused following a report by his parents. “The accused was only apprehended recently after he was seen roaming the university aimlessly.’’ Momoh noted that the offence contravened Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
